Buyu,

Here are some quotes that I have written down. I hope there is some usefullness in these words for your current training.

The first time I trained I was scared to death!!! It was my dream come true to learn Ninjutsu. I’ll never forget meeting my Shidoshi in the park and training for the first time…I learned Ichimonji no Kata and Osoto Gake.

Remembering your first training experience helps keep the current feeling alive. There are times in training when I feel like it’s my first day again with something I saw or did. Budo is a never ending feeling that everyone has inside them, it’s like a flame that only you can keep lit by training.

You have potential to be twice the Budoka I am, you have the right mindset and most important, you are willing to listen. Take what I give you and turn into something special that only you understand. My training and movement is something that only I truly understand, I just struggle trying to explain it.

My mind is a roller coaster of Budo when I’m demonstrating something. I’m showing you one thing but my mind is already 6 moves ahead into that concept. It’s hard to explain one thing when your mind is somewhere else. That’s why I always ask you guys “Does that make sense??”, I have no idea if I do or don’t…LOL

Have you noticed when you’re training your able to correct yourself?? That’s a sign of understanding your Taijutsu and what involves.

Now your learning sword, the sword is the ultimate tie to all movement in Budo. The taijutsu of Kenjutsu is the answer to all movement within a confined space. Bagua and silat are just the explosives in your arsenal.

When you’re truly ready you will know and then you can begin to learn the most difficult and most evolving part of Budo…the internal side. This is where the Budokas are separated from the Martial Artists.

I no longer teach Ninjutsu, I teach Budo and that will bring out the Ninpo in every technique we do. Ninpo is the highest level of learning in the Ninja world. Ninpo is also in everything we do, most martial artists take it for granted because they are distracted with Rank, home life, work, etc… In class none of that exists, so Ninpo is there, it’s in the environment, it’s in my lost stares at the grass while you are training.

I’m very far from being anything great or special in the arts. I have had many experiences with great Masters and teachers, I have seen and felt much energy in training, and most importantly I know that I can learn from a white belt. Do I ever want to be a master or expert?? Hell no, I’d rather be a student for life. I have been blessed to have great knowledge passed on to me, it’s a matter of you taking the knowledge I share with you and all to convert it to real life. Real life being the flow of energy which circulates around your taijutsu.

These are just ramblings but hopefully you understand what they mean….I sure as hell don’t…LOL
